Whether you’re a true believer or just love a good local legend, Charlotte County Parks and Natural Resources invites you to step into the mystery this summer with our Squatch Watch Hunt in Charlotte County’s Environmental Parks and Preserves.
According to Florida folklore, the Skunk Ape is a tall, ape-like creature covered in dark hair and known for an odor – often compared to a wet dog or rotten cabbage. It’s been spotted near roads, hiding in the brush, and lurking near bodies of water.
