‘Just wanted to get home’: Ex-Lee County sheriff’s deputy arrested for escaping jail

A former Lee County sheriff’s deputy faces charges after authorities say he fled the Lee County Jail after a drunken driving arrest, leaving behind items he said he could not remember where he placed.
