A former Lee County sheriff’s deputy faces charges after authorities say he fled the Lee County Jail after a drunken driving arrest, leaving behind items he said he could not remember where he placed.
Matthew Curbelo, 33, of Punta Gorda, faces one count of escaping or attempting to escape a jail facility.
