Cops: Couple caught counterfeiting – $100 bill had backside printed upside down

PORT CHARLOTTE — Charlotte County Sheriff’s detectives arrested a Port Charlotte man on several felony charges — including counterfeiting — saying he used fake $50 and $20 bills to buy a cellphone that he later sold second hand.

Detectives also arrested a woman identified as his girlfriend in a separate case, saying she tried to pass a fake $100 bill at a Dollar General store.
