PUNTA GORDA — After more than five months of delays and contractor disputes, South County Regional Park Pool reopened July 25, restoring a resource for families and swimmers across Charlotte County.
The reopening followed months of frustration among local parents, who say the closure left them without a safe and affordable place for their children to cool off during the height of summer’s heat.
