Charlotte CARE Center celebrates providing thousands food, shelter and more in first year

PORT CHARLOTTE — The Charlotte CARE Center, 1476 Kenesaw St., had a successful first year, helping thousands of locals in need.

One year ago, according to a Charlotte CARE news release, two of Charlotte County’s “strongest advocates for people in need” — St. Vincent de Paul CARES and the Charlotte County Homeless Coalition — merged to form the Charlotte CARE Center.
