NOAA flags new disturbance with high chance of developing

The U.S. weather service agency, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, has officially flagged the first big disturbance of September.

In a tropical weather outlook update posted by the National Hurricane Center Miami office early Tuesday, a tropical wave was found south of the Cabo Verde islands off Africa’s coast producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms.

The wave, called a disturbance for now, is showing environmental conditions conducive for development in the next several days…
