CAPE CORAL, Florida — A Cape Coral man has been charged with multiple thefts following an incident at a local Walmart, according to the Cape Coral Police Department. John Joseph Adams, 41, was identified through surveillance footage and facial recognition software after attempting to steal over $1,140 worth of merchandise.
On August 27, 2025, officers responded to a reported theft at the Walmart Supercenter on Del Prado Boulevard South. The suspect, described as wearing teal clothing and a blue hat, was seen trying to push a cart full of unpaid merchandise past all points of sale. When confronted, he abandoned the cart and fled on foot, stated the source.
