Punta Gorda business cited in crackdown on sales of alcohol, tobacco to minors

PUNTA GORDA, Fla. (WWSB) – A local business was cited after Punta Gorda police and state investigators conducted a compliance sweep Sept. 12 targeting the sale of alcohol and tobacco to minors.

On Friday, the Punta Gorda Police Department and the Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco’s Bureau of Law Enforcement checked seven licensed establishments in the city. Six businesses complied with the law and refused to sell alcohol to a minor.
