SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – A 93-year-old woman with dementia was safely located after a search, thanks to the quick actions of Cpl. Steven Sella and his K-9 partner Zoe, who tracked the missing woman to a body of water where she had wandered.
The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call after a woman had wandered from her residence. The woman — known to have a history of wandering, was in close proximity to the water when she reportedly believed her pet had entered the area, prompting her to follow.
Sella retrieved a scent article from the woman’s pillow, enabling K-9 Zoe, a Scent Evidence K-9 trained bloodhound to begin tracking…
