The Fort Myers Beach Art Association, a non-profit organization, proudly opened its Plein Air Art Exhibit on Sept. 25. The exhibit will run until Oct. 24 and feature artistic pieces that capture the beautiful scenery of the Fort Myers area and beyond. It is open Thursday through Saturday from 12 to 6 p.m. and is located at 13451 McGregor Blvd., unit #1, Fort Myers.
The term “En Plein Air” is a French expression which, when translated to English, means “In the open air.” The FMBAA states on their website, “Plein air artists capture the spirit and essence of a landscape or subject by incorporating natural light, color, and movement into their works.”
