Coastal locations in Southwest Florida will host special events this Saturday, Oct. 11. Each site plans activities about sea creatures, nature protection, and spooky fall fun. The Shell Museum, Wonder Gardens, and Nature Center picked the same day for their programs.
At the Shell Museum, Shelloween brings kids on underwater treasure hunts through decorated tanks. Young scientists can mix up gooey slime in special classes. Everything is included in the cost of admission.
The fun continues Oct. 18 and 25. Anyone dressed as a sea creature gets free entry on the final Saturday. The Shell Museum joined “Museums for All” to welcome more visitors. Sam Ankerson, who runs the museum, wants everyone to see their exhibits…
