Region residents can clean out medicine cabinets and garages at events this weekend.
From 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at HCA Florida Venice Doctors Hospital, 901 U.S. 41 Bypass S., law enforcement officers will be collecting tablets, capsules and patches of hydrocodone (Norco, Lortab, Vicodin), oxycodone (Oxycontin, Percocet), tramadol (Ultram), codeine, fentanyl (Duragesic), morphine, hydromorphone (Dilaudid) and oxymorphone (Opana).
