Harry Sandwith, a New Jersey car detailing entrepreneur known for a colorful history and mingling with celebrities — he cleaned and took care of motorcycles for actor Keanu Reeves, for one — is expanding his business to Southwest Florida.
The expansion is through Dirty Harry’s & The Hogfather, which Sandwith recently opened in Cape Coral, according to a statement. The store will service all of Lee and Charlotte counties with high-end automotive and motorcycle detailing services, the statement adds.
Sandwith started the business after working as a police officer in Jersey City. He started by detailing and taking care of cars, boats and anything with a motor, according to a 2017 story in Auto Laundry News, but soon became an “in-demand motorcycle-detailing expert.” He later appeared at various venues as a celebrity detailer for Flex North America Buffers, the release states, and has been a partner and trainer for Detailing Success satellite locations in New Jersey.
