A Port Charlotte woman who authorities said stole from her employer after an alligator attacked her child is headed to prison.
Teresa Lessa, 51, on Oct. 16 pleaded no contest to charges of theft and criminal use of personal identification. Lee Circuit Judge Robert Branning sentenced her to six years in prison, followed by 15 years of probation, and ordered $107,000 in restitution.
