In the early morning of October 18, 2025, a Cape Coral Police detective was alerted by her home security system to suspicious activity near her residence in northwest Cape Coral, Florida. Video surveillance showed an individual attempting to break into her locked police vehicle and several other cars in the area.
The detective contacted dispatch, and officers responded by establishing a perimeter and deploying a K9 unit, UAV, and helicopter support. Officers soon located a suspect matching the description and detained him after a brief foot chase.
The suspect, identified as Jlishawon Daniels (born September 14, 2006), was found with cash, including forty-nine $2 bills reported missing by a victim. Additional residents reported their vehicles had been unlawfully entered, and detectives processed each case…
