Fort Myers Residents Invited to Weigh In on US 41 and Six Mile Cypress Parkway Intersection Improvements

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has announced a public meeting about the US 41 (SR 45) Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study at the intersection with Six Mile Cypress Parkway in Lee County. The study will review the capacity and safety of this intersection in Fort Myers. The goal is to consider improvements for pedestrians, bicyclists, and motorists, and to evaluate possible changes to traffic flow.

The public meeting will be held in two formats. The in-person session is scheduled for Tuesday, October 28, 2025, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Lakes Regional Library, Meeting Room A, 15290 Bass Road, Fort Myers, Florida. Attendees can visit at any time during the event to watch an informational video and speak with project team members.

A live online meeting will take place on Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 6 to 7 p.m. Advance registration is required.
