SW Florida rent prices plummet as unsuccessful home sellers become unsuccessful landlords

Stuck with their homes sitting on the market for months and longer, some Southwest Florida sellers have given renting an unsuccessful try.

A Realtor.com report referred to these types of owners as “accidental landlords,” and they’ve run into a lot of traffic, according to an August analysis by RentCafe researchers.
