PORT CHARLOTTE — Charlotte County deputies say a Punta Gorda man crashed a borrowed car into two other vehicles and a home, then ran away.
Mario Matthews, 43, 800 block of Burland St., Punta Gorda, was charged with three counts of leaving the scene of a crash with property damage and driving without a license, according to court documents released Tuesday.
The crash happened at 11:15 p.m. Monday at 926 W. Tarpon Blvd. in Port Charlotte. The person who called the Sheriff’s Office said the driver got out and ran away, possibly wearing a black hoodie and black pants, according to Deputy Kristy McGlashan’s report…
