About a month after authorities arrested a Lehigh Acres man, accused of pointing a BB gun at a school bus, state prosecutors have downgraded the charges from felonies to misdemeanors.
Jaime Cossio, 30, faces one count of assault on a school district employee and one count of disruption of a school function, both misdemeanors. He was initially arrested on one count of aggravated assault — a felony — and one count of interference with school administrative functions — a misdemeanor.
Court records show that on Oct. 31 state prosecutors indicated their intent to not prosecute Cossio on the charges he initially faced…
