CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. — A man was arrested on Tuesday after being accused of dumping over 500 pounds of waste, which included cremated remains, in Charlotte County.
According to the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, on Oct. 30, deputies responded to a report of trash being dumped on Cartouche Avenue. The caller told deputies that the trash included the cremated remains of someone.
The trash also included mail addressed to a woman, whom deputies contacted. The woman told CCSO she had no idea why her mail and trash were dumped on the side of the road in Punta Gorda, and had no idea how the cremated remains ended up in the pile…
