A new carrier has begun service out of the Fort Myers airport. Allegiant Air launched its first flight out of Southwest Florida International Airport on Nov. 13 to Allentown, Pennsylvania, and the airline plans to add two more destinations next week.
To celebrate its new route to Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE), Allegiant is offering one-way fares as low as $47 if purchased by Nov. 15. The new flights will operate up to twice weekly, according to a statement.
“We’re excited to bring our brand of all-nonstop flights to Fort Myers and provide a seamless connection to eastern Pennsylvania,” Allegiant Chief Commercial Officer Drew Wells says in a statement. “This expansion reflects our commitment to delivering travel that’s more accessible, affordable and enjoyable.”…
