Second person dies in Cape Coral boat accident; 1 person still missing

A second person died late Saturday night following a boating accident on the Caloosahatchee River between Cape Coral and Fort Myers.

Of the four people on the MTI 390 powerboat, one is in critical but stable condition, and one is missing, said Bradley Johnson, public information officer for Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, which is leading the search mission and the investigation.

FWC dive team remained in the water searching at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Johnson said.
