Authorities probe who operated boat that crashed in Fort Myers

Three days after a racing-style boat crashed in the Caloosahatchee River, killing three and leaving a badly injured survivor, authorities said the man remains in critical but stable condition.

Officer Bradley Johnson, spokesperson, confirmed on Dec. 1 the vessel is a 2022 39-foot MTI registered to one of the slain boaters, Craig A. Millett, 56.

Brenna J. Millett, 49, and Rebecca J. Knight, 48, were taken to a local hospital and died the night of Nov. 29. Neal A. Kirby, 45, was the only survivor. Friends said Tuesday he is awake and talking after surgery…
