Cape Coral man charged after road rage incident

CAPE CORAL, Florida — A road rage incident in Cape Coral led to the arrest of a 31-year-old man on multiple charges, police said. The altercation occurred on November 26, 2025, near Chiquita Boulevard and Gleason Parkway.

Officers from the Cape Coral Police Department responded to a disturbance at approximately 4:20 p.m. The reporting party claimed he had maneuvered around a white Jeep without cutting it off, but the Jeep’s driver, identified as Thomas Coyle, of Cape Coral, Florida, began honking and later approached his vehicle. Coyle allegedly yelled and punched the man through his driver-side window, according to the police report.

The situation escalated when Coyle returned to his Jeep and intentionally rammed it into the other man’s vehicle, causing it to strike the victim and knock him to the ground. The collision also resulted in damage to the victim’s vehicle, police said…
