Wildlife center hosts sunset celebration

Peace River Wildlife Center (PRWC), 3400 Ponce de Leon Parkway, Punta Gorda, will host a Sunset Celebration from 4-6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12.

Guests will experience:

  • Scenic sunset vistas over Charlotte Harbor.
  • Wildlife encounters with resident ambassadors.
  • Refreshments and light bites.
  • Opportunities to learn about PRWC’s mission to contribute to the survival of native Florida wildlife through rescue, rehabilitation and education.
  • Holiday shopping at the gift shop. New items include the 2026 calendar and a new book by Amanda Frazier, “The Adventures of Luna.”

“Our Sunset Celebration is an event designed to bring together nature lovers, supporters and our local community in a relaxed and inspiring atmosphere,” said PRWC Executive Director Tricia LaPointe. “Donations are appreciated.”
