Captiva Civic Association’s “Tides & Times” transforms the ocean into artwork
Art is all around the island of Captiva.
Down every winding street, visitors can catch the bright teal and white colors of the buildings and the people walking those paths, full of different experiences and personalities.
As locals explore all that Captiva has to offer, taking a trip down to the end of the island, they can find the Captiva Civic Association (CCA). The organization has been around for 90 years, filled with artworks from locals who express their love for Southwest Florida life and the memories they have shared while living by the shoreline.
Lauren McCraney, director of the CCA, has been a witness to the creative minds that have stepped into the art world and put their masterpieces on display locally. She has seen this passion through Shane Antalick and Lafe James with their current exhibit at the CCA, “Tides & Times.”…
