PORT CHARLOTTE (WWSB) — A 59-year-old Port Charlotte man is scheduled for sentencing Friday after accepting a plea deal in October for a fatal hit-and-run crash that killed a bicyclist last year.
Dean Schrewsberry faces charges of leaving the scene of a crash involving a death. He is scheduled to appear before Judge Shannon McFee this afternoon at 12:30 p.m. for his sentencing; he could receive up to 30 years in prison.
The crash happened early on the morning of Dec. 16, 2024, at U.S. 41 and Collingswood Boulevard in Port Charlotte.
