Since the waters of the North Pole are too frozen for boat parades, Santa leaves that yearly responsibility up to his tropical teams in Fort Myers and Cape Coral. This year, both communities organized a fantastic holiday event.
The family-friendly events are unique to Southwest Florida and kick off the season as only our region can. Decorated boats glide down the waterways to usher in the holiday season, the tropical way.
On Dec. 6, the magic sailed right into Fort Myers as the 37th Annual Fort Myers Beach Boat Parade lit up both the waters and the hearts of spectators.
A parade of boats, each adorned with lights and decorations, dazzled the crowd and launched the Christmas season. Families enjoyed an evening of music, holiday fun and fellowship while boats reflected twinkling lights on the waters around them…
