FORT MYERS, Fla. (CBS12) — The U.S. Coast Guard is searching for two men reported overdue Friday after their vessel was found off the coast of Fort Myers.
According to the Coast Guard, air and surface crews from multiple agencies began searching Friday night for a 57-year-old man and a 33-year-old man who failed to return as expected. Crews later located the men’s vessel offshore, prompting an expanded search effort in the surrounding waters.
U.S. Coast Guard Sector St. Petersburg is coordinating the search-and-rescue operation, deploying aircraft and boats alongside partner agencies to canvass the area…
