LEE COUNTY, Fla. — As winter break comes to a close, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office is reminding residents that they andBus Patrol will be enforcing bus stop laws with cameras on stop-arms during the new school year.
The stop-arm safety program put new cameras on school buses in November. This allows the Lee County Sheriff’s Office to verify instances of drivers not stopping when school buses do and give out fines, which are $225.
Fines for violations have been given out since the end of the 30-day grace period on Dec. 8. All violations are manually reviewed by LCSO before fines are handed out…
