CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (WWSB) – Dwight Eaglin is getting a shot to overturn his death sentence after being convicted of killing a prison guard while trying to escape.
A judge granted him a new trial for the penalty phase of the conviction. The trial may not start until next week, ABC7 learned today.
