Cape Coral teen charged with felony after vandalizing city property

CAPE CORAL, Florida — A 16-year-old from Cape Coral has been charged with felony criminal mischief after allegedly vandalizing public restrooms at the Pelican Sports Complex, according to the Cape Coral Police Department. The incident, which resulted in over $1,000 in damages, was captured on security cameras.

Police responded to the complex on December 5, 2025, after park staff reported the damage, which included the destruction of fixtures, graffiti, and the discharge of a fire extinguisher.
