Man arrested after attempting overnight stay at Englewood Walmart for TikTok challenge

ENGLEWOOD, Fla. (WWSB) – A 19-year-old man was arrested after deputies said he tried to stay inside a Walmart overnight as part of a TikTok challenge.

The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded just after 11 p.m. Tuesday to a reported burglary at the Walmart on McCall Road. A caller reported a man was still inside after the store closed and was live-streaming on TikTok.

Deputies entered and found Isaac M. Hurley in the dog bed section, authorities said. Investigators said he entered the store around 10:15 p.m. and planned to remain inside overnight to complete the challenge and earn money based on views.
