Defense argues Dwight Eaglin is ‘changed man’ in re-sentencing trial

SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – Defense attorneys for former death row inmate Dwight Eaglin argued he is a “changed man” during re-sentencing proceedings that continued for a third day.

Eaglin, a former local boxer, was convicted of killing a prison guard during an escape attempt. His defense team highlighted his former fighting career and argued that head injuries and drug use contributed to mental illness.
