FORT MYERS, Fla. — Grab the umbrella as a strong cold front is triggering isolated rain for the Gulf Coast Monday. Rain chances will wind down by the late afternoon as much colder air filters in. Don’t be fooled by a warm start in the 70s as temperatures are set to plummet into the low 40s overnight.
A Cold Weather Advisory has been issued for nearly the entire region as wind chills will fall into the 30s by Tuesday morning.
Over the next week, mornings will stay cold in the 30s and 40s with afternoons only in the 60s. Another cold front will pull through the region on Saturday bringing scattered rain and another reinforcing blast of cold air. Expect cold weather to dominate the forecast heading into early February.
