A four day school week is necessary

As the school year rolls around in August, there is always the big transition of going back to school that comes with having to deal with a very familiar and dreadful routine. There students are waking up at five in the morning, getting ready, and preparing themselves to spend the next eight hours stuck rotating through different classrooms. Having a four day school week would make everything so much easier.

As students are in the classrooms for the next eight hours everyday, all students can imagine and hope for is for the school day to be over. At the end of the day, all their wishing goes to waiting for Friday. Having four day school weeks instead of five should just be an obvious consideration.

By the time Friday comes, students are already checked out and drained from having to balance school work, sports, and after school clubs/activities. Some students even have part time jobs, and just in general have an outside life. Having to stress and worry about these things for five days straight is exhausting and students should be able to have at least one extra day off…
