Cold air here to stay across the Gulf Coast

FORT MYERS, Fla. — A streak of unseasonably cold weather will be in charge of the forecast along the Gulf Coast this week.

We are waking up to some of the coldest air of the year so far, and it only gets colder from here.

A cold weather advisory is active until 9 a.m. for Lee, inland Collier, Charlotte, DeSoto, Glades and Hendry counties, as wind chills will fall into the 30s by sunrise. This afternoon we will only recover to the mid-60s, and that’s even with a nice supply of sunshine…
