Community fundraising event launches for Fort Myers Beach Fourth of July fireworks and parade

FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. — What’s Up FMB announced that they have launched a community fundraising event in partnership with the Town of Fort Myers Beach for their annual “Red, White, and Beach” Fourth of July fireworks and parade, according to a press release sent out on Friday.

What’s Up FMB says that while the event is not automatically scheduled this year, planning is moving forward due to early momentum and community support. The total cost to produce the Fourth of July fireworks display, they say, is $129,000. They say that the fireworks barge used for the display, valued at $44,000, has been fully donated.

They added that a $25,000 lead donation has secured the fireworks deposit. Funds raised through the drive support:

  • The Fourth of July fireworks display
  • Permitting and safety services
  • Operational and logistical costs for both the fireworks and the parade
  • Equipment and coordination required to deliver a safe, well-organized community event

What’s Up FMB says that any funds not used for this year’s parade and fireworks display will be reserved for future fireworks initiatives…
