Estero twins Nicholas and Sophia Kartashov, 12, spun loops around the competition earning a bronze medal in the Novice Ice Dance division at the 2026 U.S. Figure Skating Championships in St. Louis, placing them among the nation’s top emerging ice dance teams.
The Kartashovs were one of the country’s top five novice teams invited to compete at the Championships. Their free dance, set to “Oklahoma”, stood out for its theatrical style and musical contrast.
