2 sentenced to 15 years in prison in separate Charlotte County drug-related cases

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. — Two people were each sentenced to 15 years in prison, followed by 15 years of probation in separate drug cases in Charlotte County.

According to the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, Scott Kyle Wright, 40, was convicted on Feb. 4 for his involvement in a drug overdose where fentanyl was distributed to a victim and caused death.

Wright was indicted on manslaughter and manufacturing Schedule 1 or 2 opium or derivative. He was sentenced to 15 years in state prison followed by 15 years of probation as a drug offender, deputies said…
