It’s no secret that the Lake House Kitchen & Bar in Babcock Ranch offers stunning views of Lake Babcock, Founder’s Square and Innovation Tower. The ambiance, reimagined cuisine and special charm make the venue a focal point of the community.
Under new management and led by accomplished chefs Bruce Cuevas, John Hill and Jessica Shoemaker, the restaurant added new dishes with complex flavors, along with twists on old favorites, all without a price hike, making the Lake House a neighborhood gem. Elevating visitors’ dining experiences, it serves local food prepared from scratch, including sauces, pasta, pastries, sandwiches and signature cocktails.
Foodies will enjoy creative new additions to the menu with fun flavors, textures and visual appeal, drawing on Hill’s and Shoemaker’s years of experience running award-winning restaurants in New Orleans’ French Quarter, as well as Gather and Next Door in Cape Coral. Cuevas brings his experience from eateries in the Turks and Caicos and in Southwest Florida, including Pinchers Crab Shack and other popular venues.
The three chefs share a love of fromscratch pasta, and it shows in their macaroni and cheese appetizer, which is far from ordinary. It starts with fusilli pasta and Italian sausage, seasoned with mushrooms, gruyere cheese, chives and a parmesan streusel topping that combines the tang of grated parmesan with a touch of sweetness and crunch, according to Shoemaker.
