Using a scent taken from flip-flops, K-9 bloodhound Remington located Joceli Coutinho safe and alive

A 78-year-old Florida man with Parkinson’s disease and dementia, who went missing in a wooded area, had a special reunion with a sheriff’s K-9 dog that eventually found him.
On Jan. 28, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office sought the public’s help in locating missing and endangered adult Joceli Coutinho, who was last seen on Atherton Avenue in Lehigh Acres.
Coutinho’s family said their loved one has Parkinson’s disease and dementia, NBC affiliate WBBH reported. They also said that Coutinho had no food, water or medications at the time he vanished, according to the News-Press.
In a Jan. 29 morning update, the sheriff’s office said that the search for Coutinho was focused in the areas of Buckingham Trail Preserve, Buckingham Road and all surrounding neighborhoods…
