Developer plans fast-food restaurant on retail site
Alliant Partners Development, a Tampa-based real estate development firm, has bought nearly an acre in Port Charlotte, where it is in the process of building a new restaurant on the space. The 0.81-acre property is at 1470 Tamiami Trail, right off of Veterans Boulevard and El Jobean Road. It is an outparcel of a Target and Kane’s Furniture anchored shopping center across from the Port Charlotte Town Center. Alliant Partners paid $2.15 million for the property. The firm says it cannot yet disclose the eatery that’s moving in. According to a Jan. 29 letter written to a North Carolina construction and project management company by a Charlotte County planning and zoning official, the restaurant being built on the site is a Whataburger.
