FORT MYERS, Fla. — Viewers across Southwest Florida and beyond got a front-row seat Saturday night as Gulf Coast News streamed the 88th annual Edison Festival of Light Grand Parade on theVery Local Gulf Coast app, bringing one of the nation’s largest night parades to phones, tablets and TVs.

The broadcast, sponsored by Achieva Credit Union, featured Gulf Coast News anchors Lisa Spooner and Jack Keenan, with Gulfcoasting’s Jason Drew reporting from along the route as illuminated floats, marching bands and costumed performers moved through downtown Fort Myers.
