Man sentenced to 30 years in prison for rear-ending, killing motorcyclist in Fort Myers

FORT MYERS, Fla. — A man adjudicated guilty for vehicular homicide was sentenced to 30 years in prison, according to the State Attorney’s Office.

According to a press release, Jamaine Alexander Washington, 45, was speeding in a car on the Caloosahatchee bridge in Fort Myers and rear-ended a man on a motorcycle in 2024. The release adds that Washington claimed he wasn’t driving the car.
