City of Fort Myers receives designation from volunteer organization

The JustServe City Designation was recently awarded to the city of Fort Myers. The award is given to cities that promote volunteering in their community. On the city’s website, Fort Myers has a volunteer mission statement and they share their city’s volunteer needs as well as volunteer needs for 18 non-profit organizations. Fort Myers is only the fourth city in Florida to receive this prestigious award.

The JustServe City Designation is an extension of JustServe.org which is a free online platform that connects volunteers from all backgrounds with local organizations who need helping hands. JustServe.org is provided by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. JustServe is in 17 countries and has more than 20,000 service opportunities and over a million users.
