Judge orders woman held without bond after confessing in murder case

PUNTA GORDA, Fla. (WWSB) – A Charlotte County judge has ordered Shannon Rose Giblin held in pretrial detention in a case in which she is accused of second-degree murder and grand theft of a motor vehicle, according to court records.

The investigation began March 8, 2026, at a home on Gewant Boulevard in Punta Gorda. A probable cause affidavit says deputies were called to the home for a report of a person not breathing.
