CAPE CORAL, Fla. (TCN) – A man has been arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon after allegedly threatening his neighbor with a sword, according to police.
On March 25, officers with the Cape Coral Police Department responded to a residence after receiving a report of a disturbance involving a weapon. The caller told 911 dispatchers that his neighbor had threatened him with a sword and then left in a pickup truck.
A police investigation found that what started as an argument between neighbors escalated when 41-year-old Raul Elosegui Fernandez retrieved a sword with a three-foot metal blade from his truck and made threatening statements to the caller, whose name has not been released by authorities…
