Wildlife center to hold iconic owl’s “bird-day”

Peace River Wildlife Center (PRWC) is hosting a “bird-day” party for Luna, a leucistic Eastern screech-owl and one of their most beloved ambassadors, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 4, and the public is invited.

This is a free event for families to celebrate Luna’s 13th birthday, made possible through the support of generous local sponsors. There will be fun and games, face painting, photos with Luna and more. It’s going to be a real “hoot.”

“We are thrilled to celebrate Luna’s birthday with our community. Luna has captivated visitors with his charm since 2013 when he arrived at the center, and now it’s time to celebrate another year of his life,” said Tricia LaPointe, CEO/Executive Director of Peace River Wildlife Center. “Whether you are 8 or 80 years old, please join us while supporting wildlife education.”…
