Motorists who travel across the Wilson Pigott Bridge should prepare for a temporary full closure in mid-April to allow crews to install a new grid deck which will be delivered on-site the week of April 6. Once materials arrive, crews will begin preparing for installation.
The bridge is scheduled to close overnight on April 12, at which time a detour will be implemented. The full closure will remain in place for approximately 10 days. Construction crews are expected to begin replacing the grid deck on April 13.
During the closure, the bridge will be inaccessible to all traffic, including passenger vehicles, commercial trucks, buses, and delivery vehicles. Motorists will be required to follow the posted detour route. (See the detour and alternate route maps above.)…
